The Furness fleet is very varied and every vehicle is chosen for any given incident based on its particular abilities.
H82 TEO
John Deere 3650 is the ‘beast’ of the fleet. Designed and built by ourselves to our own specification, H82 TEO is the ultimate off-road recovery vehicle. It is designed to deal with any vehicle in an-off road situation and with the capacity to anchor itself in any location – combined with immense winching power – H82 TEO is a vehicle capable of any task thrown its way.
KC07 FCC
Ford Transit Connect T200 is based at our Crooklands premises. KC07 FCC is the vehicle of choice when attending commercial vehicles requiring roadside assistance. This vehicle carries both the necessary tools, equipment and stock of fast moving parts & consumables to allow us to effect a repair to a commercial vehicle at the roadside.
LC08 FCC
Mercedes Sprinter 311 is based at our Askam premises. LC08 FCC is a larger version of KC07 FCC, with its specialist-built mobile workshop, vast tools, equipment and stock of fast moving parts and consumables. LC08 FCC can be seen running the roads from vehicle to vehicle assisting and repairing commercial vehicles at the roadside or on site.
MC65 FCC
Iveco SLA is a specialist recovery vehicle designed for the recovery and transportation of prestigious vehicles and sport models. A specially designed super low approach slidebed, using flat- to-floor technology the slidebed drops level with the ground to allow for low vehicles. In addition to this, the vehicle carries specialist equipment for both safe and damage-free recovery of any vehicle.
NC06 FCC
IVECO is the vehicle of choice for any type of major incident. NC06 FCC is our designated ‘Accident Unit’ used primarily for accident recovery. This vehicle can be seen attending incidents on behalf of Cumbria Police and the Highways Agency. It is also equipped with a hi-ab and damage- free lifting frame and heavy duty winching equipment and has always risen to every challenge.
PC69 FCC
Iveco is the vehicle of choice for any type incident, the identical brother to RC69 FCC. Its capable of carrying up to 4 vehicles. The Main Slide Body Design and Construction of the body are made of steel and is 24 foot with the specialist SLA (super low approach). Meanwhile the Upper Deck Design is to our own specifications with lock out hydraulic rams and has a capacity of 2500kg.
